Fighting hunger.
One block at a time.

We are the charitable organization on a mission  to put an end to hunger and reduce food waste...starting with our own COMMUNITIES.

Hunger is happening in our own backyards, on our watch.

An estimated 12.3 percent of American households (roughly 38 million people) were food insecure at some point during 2016, meaning they lacked access to enough food for all household members to have an active, healthy life. That is essentially unchanged from 12.7 percent in 2015.

The prevalence of very low food security also remained essentially unchanged, at 4.9 percent in 2016 and 5.0 percent in 2015.

It's time to make change happen.

According to Feeding America, 1 in 7 people in the U.S. face hunger every year. The rate of hunger among children is even higher, with about 1 in 5 lacking proper access to food at some point during the year.

16.2 million children live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis.

As a result, about 1 in 5 children go hungry at some point during the year.

No one should go hungry, especially our children.

Roughly 40 percent of all produce in the United States is thrown away—some 60 million tons or $165 billion per year. This constitutes one-third of all foodstuffs —and is enough to feed 25 million people!

Wasted food is also the single largest component in American landfills, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Fight2Feed wants to continue turning this into healthy meals for our hungry friends in need!

Fighting hunger with rescued food and mobilizing to get it to hungry friends in need.

That's right. By rescuing food from restaurants, chefs and donations from food distributors and by mobilizing meals made by our Fight2Feed volunteers and chefs, along with your support, we can reduce food waste and share food with hungry friends in need.

We are a 501C3 charitable organization seeking to take root in every community, nationwide. While we might be a young non-profit, we're growing like crazy!

86 billion pounds of food is wasted by households and  the foodservice industry every year.

48.1 million Americans live in food insecure households, including 32.8 million adults and 15.3 million children.

What we do…

Every month we rescue anywhere from 8,000 - 11,000 pounds of food from local partners like Imperfect Produce, Event like Culinary Fight Club and Food-services like Aramark. They share what they are in surplus of and our leaders and volunteers take their time and recuse food with our vehicles. The food is always handled from distributor to chefs or qualified Fight2Feed volunteers.

Some of our food is used to get into Soup Kitchens or donated kitchen spaces to cook and deploy to our hungry friends in need or served right to their clients. Some rescued food is shared with pantries, soup kitchen and shelters.

We are currently in Chicago, Atlanta and Kansas City and more communities are seeking Fight2Feed support. We funding, sweat equity and most importantly we need leaders to grow!

Culinary Fight Club

This is the exclusive event series that donates 20% of all proceeds to Fight2Feed.  It's the community that helps Fight2Feed sustain our missions and achieve our vision to knock out hunger, one block at a time. Culinary Fight Club is an exciting fight club-style cooking competition that is inspiring everyone from home cooks to executive chefs to come out and challenge their cooking skills . It's just one way we raise awareness, form partnerships and inspire.
